1964 Création / Gründung:
Société des Aciéries et Laminoirs de Lorraine "SACILOR"
par Sidélor et Wendel et Cie
   
1981 Nationalisation d'Usinor et Sacilor
1986  Fusion Usinor - Sacilor
1.7. 1984

Création d' UNIMETAL pour reprendre et gérer l'activité produits longs des deux groupes SACILOR et USINOR.
juillet 1995 Privatisation d'Usinor Sacilor
juin 1997 Le groupe prend le nom d'Usinor
